On August 25, 2025, Adobe launched Adobe Commerce as a Cloud Service in the EMEA region. Until then ACCS was primarily a North American offer, which made it a difficult recommendation for a European merchant. That constraint is gone.
What changes
European merchants get fully managed Adobe Commerce hosted in EU data centres with GDPR compliance built in. Nobody on your side is managing infrastructure. If you have been running complex infrastructure across several European markets, ACCS takes a significant amount of that off the table.
Data residency
ACCS in EMEA hosts data entirely within European data centres, meeting GDPR requirements and data residency regulations. Adobe keeps the data inside the required jurisdictions. That matters most if you handle customer data across several European markets with different compliance requirements and currently keep track of it yourself.
Pricing and availability
EMEA pricing follows Adobe's global model, scaled for European markets. It is available to existing Adobe Commerce subscribers and to new merchants, and Adobe offers migration assistance for anyone moving from a traditional Commerce deployment to ACCS.
Rollout
ACCS launched in major European markets first, with expansion continuing through late 2025. If you are in a supported region you can evaluate it now. If you are not, do the assessment anyway — being ready when availability reaches you is cheaper than starting then.
What this means for you
European hosting cuts the latency your customers feel, GDPR compliance comes with the platform rather than with a project, and your team stops spending its week on operations. The work that is left is migration strategy and what you do with the time — which, conveniently, is the part we are more useful for anyway.
