Support window extended to three years for Adobe Commerce 2.4.4+

In November 2023 Adobe extended the support window for Adobe Commerce (Magento) 2.4.4+ to three years from general availability.

What changed

Releases from 2.4.4 onwards now carry three years of support, counted from the version's general availability date. Not from the date you got round to upgrading to it.

What this means for you

Upgrade planning gets easier to defend. Take the version you are on, count forward from its GA date, and you have the month your security patches stop. That is a date you can put in a budget, which is more than most platform decisions hand you.

The change covers 2.4.4 and later. Anything older is unaffected, and if that is where you are, the upgrade conversation is the one to have first.
