Adobe Commerce Rockstar programme announced

Adobe has announced the inaugural Adobe Commerce Rockstar programme, recognising the developers and technologists doing notable work in the Adobe Commerce (Magento) ecosystem. It culminates at Adobe Summit 2022, where selected Rockstars are honoured and given prominent speaking opportunities.

What it is

The programme is Adobe's way of spotlighting the developers and technical leads pushing the platform furthest — the people solving the complex problems, sharing what they learn, and quietly raising the standard for everyone else. Selected Rockstars get recognition, exclusive access to Adobe product and engineering teams, and a speaking slot at Adobe Summit 2022.

Who can be nominated

Adobe is calling for nominations from the community. Developers, agencies, consultants and merchants can nominate themselves or their peers. A nomination wants technical achievements, community contributions, innovation projects or thought leadership that has made a difference to the ecosystem.

Selection criteria include:

  • technical expertise and innovation with Adobe Commerce

  • community contributions and knowledge sharing

  • problem-solving and creative implementation approaches

  • business impact and measurable results delivered to clients or users

  • thought leadership and a view on where commerce technology goes next

What Rockstars get

  • official recognition and a badge on Adobe's community platforms

  • a speaking opportunity at Adobe Summit 2022

  • networking with Adobe leadership and product teams

  • early access to new Adobe Commerce features and beta programmes

  • a featured profile and case study on Adobe Commerce platforms

  • a seat on the Rockstar advisory council, with ongoing input into the roadmap

What this means for you

Adobe Summit 2022 will run dedicated tracks for Adobe Commerce Rockstars, with multiple speaking slots and networking sessions — a decent platform for reaching merchants and peers in the same room.

If you are an agency, having someone on the team recognised is straightforward proof of technical depth, which is harder to come by than it sounds. And if you have been doing the work quietly for years, this is Adobe asking to hear about it. Nominations are open.
