Magento specialists, not generalists who also do Magento

We have built on Magento since Magento 1, through Magento 2, and into Adobe Commerce (Magento) today. That is 15 years of Magento web development for brands like Oliver Bonas, Topps Tiles and Sanderson — 25+ sites live, £1.3bn of client revenue running through them. We are a Magento agency in the plain sense: this is the platform we know best, and we will tell you honestly when it is not the right one for you.

Full-lifecycle Magento capabilities

Everything a Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce build needs, from choosing the platform to keeping it fast three years later.

Magento development

Bespoke modules, themes and integrations, written to upgrade cleanly rather than trap you on a version.

Migration and replatform

Magento 1, Shopify or WooCommerce onto Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce — without losing the SEO you have paid for.

Magento support

Monitoring, security patching and a team who already know your codebase. No re-onboarding every time something breaks.

Performance engineering

Caching, CDN and database work aimed at Core Web Vitals and checkout speed, not at a lab score.

Hosting and infrastructure

AWS, Google Cloud or Adobe Commerce Cloud, sized to your peak trading day rather than your average one.

Technical SEO

Structured data, crawl efficiency and page speed — the parts of Magento SEO that need a developer, not a checklist.

The right platformfor your scale.

Magento Open Source suits growing businesses with technical resource in-house. Adobe Commerce brings advanced B2B, managed cloud and official Adobe support once the operation is bigger than one team. We will tell you which you need before you have spent anything on the build.

Migrations thatmove the numbers.

Oliver Bonas moved from Magento 1 to Adobe Commerce across 70+ stores and grew online 40%. Topps Tiles modernised its platform with advanced B2B and doubled trade orders. Replatforming is not a like-for-like rebuild — it is the point at which you fix what the old platform made you live with.

What 15 years on one platform actually buys you

Most agencies that offer Magento development arrived at it recently. We started on Magento 1 when it was the only serious option, moved clients through the Magento 2 rebuild, and were building headless Magento storefronts while the rest of the market was still theming.

That history matters in three practical ways.

We have already made the expensive mistakes. Magento punishes shortcuts slowly — a custom module written against the wrong extension point works fine until the next upgrade, and then costs more than it saved. Our code is written to survive Adobe's release cadence, because we are usually the ones still supporting it two years later.

We know which version you actually need. A great deal of Magento work is sold as a rebuild when it is really a performance problem, or an integration problem, or a merchandising problem. We would rather scope that honestly and do less work than sell you a replatform you did not need.

We can prove it. Oliver Bonas across 70+ stores. Topps Tiles across 332. Sanderson Design Group across six brands. LeMieux across ten sites. These are the numbers we can name, with the clients attached.

How we work

You will know exactly where the build is, at all times

We do not believe in grand reveals. You get access to the work in progress, sprint by sprint, and our senior people stay on your project rather than handing it to whoever is free. Calls and meetings are not chargeable — if you need to talk something through, talk it through.

A typical Magento engagement runs in four stages:

  1. Discovery. What you sell, how you sell it, and where the current platform is costing you money. No assumptions and no over-engineered builds.

  2. Architecture. Platform choice, integration map, hosting shape. This is where we tell you if Magento is wrong for you.

  3. Build. Two-week sprints, everything demoed, nothing hidden.

  4. After launch. We stay. Monitoring, iteration and the ongoing Magento support that stops a good build ageing badly.

That last one is the part most agencies skip. We aren't going to abandon you once we press go on your new eCommerce solution. Unless you want us to, of course.

Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce?

The honest version: Open Source is free to licence and expensive to run badly. Adobe Commerce costs money up front and removes a category of problems you would otherwise be solving yourself. Here is where they actually differ.

Magento questions

The questions we get asked before anyone signs anything

What does a Magento development agency actually do?

Platform selection, development, migration, integration, hosting and ongoing support — the whole lifecycle rather than one slice of it. In practice most of our work is either a replatform onto Magento 2 or Adobe Commerce, or taking over an existing Magento build that has stopped being maintained properly.

Is Magento still worth using in 2026?

For mid-market and enterprise retail, yes — particularly where you have complex catalogues, B2B trading, or multiple brands and territories to run from one back end. For a simple single-brand D2C store with a small catalogue, it is usually more platform than you need, and we will say so.

What is the difference between Magento and Adobe Commerce?

They are the same codebase. Adobe Commerce is the commercial edition — it adds advanced B2B, Adobe Live Search, Catalog Service, managed cloud hosting, built-in staging and Adobe's own support, and it carries a licence fee. Magento Open Source is free to licence and leaves those pieces to you. See the comparison above for the detail.

How much does a Magento build cost?

The honest answer is that it depends on integrations more than on design. A straightforward Magento 2 replatform with a handful of integrations sits well below a multi-brand headless build with ERP, PIM and a trade portal attached. We scope properly before quoting, and the scoping conversation is free.

Can you take over a Magento site another agency built?

Yes — a good share of our work starts that way. We begin with a technical audit so you know what you have actually inherited, then stabilise before we change anything.

How long does a Magento migration take?

Most replatforms run three to six months from discovery to launch, depending on how many systems have to be integrated and how clean the data is. Migrating from Magento 1 usually takes longer than people expect, because the data model changed and the shortcuts do not survive.

Do you work with brands outside London?

Yes. The studio is in London, the clients are UK-wide and several are international. We have been a remote-friendly team for years, so where you are has never really come into it.

Can we hire Magento developers from you?

Yes, though you get a team rather than a seat on a rate card. Most engagements run with a lead developer who stays with you from discovery to launch, backed by the specialists each phase needs — front end, integrations, infrastructure. The people who scope the build are the people who write it.

Are your Magento developers UK-based?

Yes. The team is UK-based and the studio is in London. Nothing is handed to an offshore delivery arm once the contract is signed — if you meet a developer during scoping, that is who builds it.

What does Magento web development actually involve?

Bespoke modules, theme work, third-party integrations and the upgrade path that keeps all three working after Adobe's next release. On most builds the integrations take longer than the front end — ERP, PIM, payments and stock are where the time really goes, and they are the part worth scoping properly.
