Adobe and Bolt have announced a partnership to bring Bolt's one-click checkout into Adobe Commerce (Magento). The integration is expected to launch in Spring 2022.
What is actually shipping
Bolt's checkout lets a returning shopper complete a purchase in a single click. The point of the partnership is that it arrives as part of the platform rather than as a custom build — no bespoke implementation, no third-party workaround holding your checkout together.
The integration covers desktop and mobile, with the emphasis on mobile checkout flows, where abandonment has always been highest. It supports real-time order processing and inventory synchronisation, multiple payment methods and multiple currencies, which matters if you sell across regions. Bolt's fraud prevention comes with it, so chargeback protection is not a separate piece of work.
Timeline and rollout
Spring 2022 is the target. Adobe is working with Bolt on compatibility across Adobe Commerce versions and configurations, and merchants will enable it through the Adobe Marketplace, with documentation and support resources available from day one.
What this means for you
If checkout is where you lose people — and for most merchants it is — this is one fewer thing to build yourself. It is worth planning around rather than rushing at: a checkout change touches payments, fraud rules and your analytics, so treat it as a proper release rather than a switch to flip.
Until Spring 2022 there is nothing to install. The useful work now is knowing your own abandonment numbers well enough to tell, afterwards, whether it helped.
