AI for Warehousing and Fulfilment

Remove the admin between your clients, your WMS and the warehouse floor, from getting orders in to processing returns and billing every client accurately, so your team spends its time on picking and packing, not paperwork.

What it does

We build AI tools that move orders, stock and billing data through your WMS and client systems without re-keying, so every client gets the right stock, the right report and the right invoice.

Tom&Co AI builds AI automation for 3PLs, fulfilment houses and in-house warehouse teams. We bring orders from e-commerce and B2B channels into your WMS, process goods-in, advance shipping notices and returns, and produce per-client storage and fulfilment billing and stock reports, so the office keeps pace with the warehouse.

01

Order intake from every channel

E-commerce, marketplace and B2B orders arriving by integration, email, spreadsheet and PDF checked, cleaned and loaded into your WMS, with missing addresses, unknown SKUs and stock shortfalls flagged before they reach the pick face.

02

Goods-in, ASNs and returns

Advance shipping notices, delivery notes and supplier paperwork matched to what actually arrives, with discrepancies logged for the client, and returns read, graded and booked back into stock or raised as a credit without anyone re-keying them.

03

Client billing and stock reporting

Storage, pick, pack and handling charges calculated per client from WMS activity and contract rates, invoices prepared for approval, and stock, order and returns reports sent to each client automatically.

These are the problems we see most often in warehousing and fulfilment businesses. Yours won't be identical, so every build starts with understanding how your business works, then shaping the solution around your systems, team and goals.

How AI automation works for warehousing and fulfilment

An example: month-end billing for a fulfilment client.

  1. The AI pulls the month's storage, pick, pack, handling and returns activity for the client from your WMS.

  2. It applies the rates and minimums in that client's contract.

  3. It prepares the invoice and a breakdown for approval, and flags anything unusual, such as a spike in returns or storage that doesn't match stock.

  4. Once approved, the invoice and the client's stock and activity report are sent together, with no spreadsheet to compile.

How we'd approach it

  1. Discovery

A half-day mapping an order from client to dispatch, a delivery from goods-in to stock, and how each client gets billed.

    Half day
  2. First build

Usually order intake or client billing, connected to your WMS.

    2–4 weeks
  3. Scale

Extend into goods-in, returns, client reporting and onboarding new clients, run by your own team.

    Ongoing

Proof it works.

Inbound requests read and raised end to end, saving 75% of staff time per job for a specialist services provider. The same pattern takes orders from every channel and loads them into your WMS.

FAQs

Warehousing and fulfilment AI automation FAQs

What warehouse admin can AI automate?

Loading orders from every channel into your WMS, matching ASNs and delivery notes to goods-in, processing returns, calculating per-client storage and fulfilment charges, and sending client stock and activity reports.

Does it work with our WMS?

Tom&Co AI is system-agnostic. We build on the WMS and client platforms you already use and write the results back into them. We confirm the integrations in Discovery.

Can AI work out billing for each client?

Yes. It calculates charges from WMS activity and each client's contract rates, then prepares the invoice for your team to approve. Nothing is sent without sign-off.

Will it replace our warehouse office team?

No. It removes the re-keying and spreadsheet work so the team can focus on clients and on the exceptions.

How long does it take?

A half-day Discovery, then a first build that typically takes two to four weeks.
