AI Consultancy

Independent AI consultancy from our London studio. We find the use case with a measurable payback before you spend a pound on building — then stay to build it.

What you get

Consultancy here isn't a report. It's the shortest route from "where would AI actually help?" to a system running in your business.

01

AI Opportunity Audit

We map how your business actually runs — the systems, the handoffs, the bottlenecks — and score every candidate AI use case against one test: does it pay back? Budget only follows once we've found one that does.

02

A strategy you can act on

A prioritised roadmap with costs, owners and guardrails — which use cases to pilot first, what to build versus buy, and how to govern it all. Priced steps, not a sixty-page deck.

03

Consultants who build

The people doing the advising are the people who ship the software. A decade of production builds for brands like Oliver Bonas and LeMieux means the advice is grounded in what survives contact with a live business.

How we'd approach it

A low-risk path from first conversation to working AI — with a decision point at every step.

  1. Discovery

A focused half-day mapping your processes and scoring the highest-payback opportunities.

    Half day
  2. First build

One narrow build, end-to-end and live in weeks — proving value fast.

    2–4 weeks
  3. Scale

Once it's earning its keep, we extend and maintain it as an ongoing programme.

In depth

What does an AI consultancy actually do?

An AI consultancy helps you work out where artificial intelligence genuinely fits your business — and where it doesn't — before you commit budget to building anything. In practice that means auditing your processes and data, identifying use cases with a measurable return, choosing the right models and platforms, and planning the governance, security and rollout that let a business actually rely on the result.

The catch with most AI consulting is that it stops at the recommendation. We're an AI agency and consultancy in one: the same team that writes the strategy designs, builds and runs the workflows, agents and applications it recommends. That keeps the advice honest — we have to live with it.

We're based in Shad Thames, London, and work with UK SMEs and mid-market businesses across ecommerce, professional services, construction and manufacturing.

In practice

How an engagement runs

Most clients arrive with one of two things: a specific problem ("our team spends every Friday rekeying reports") or a general worry ("we know AI matters, we don't know where to start"). Both start in the same place — the audit. We shadow the real work, quantify the cost of each candidate process, and hand you a shortlist ranked by payback.

Then you choose. Some clients take the roadmap and build in-house — that's fine, it's your roadmap. Most ask us to pilot the top use case, because a working system in four weeks beats a plan in a binder. Either way, you'll know exactly where we are at all times — we're not shy about showing work in progress.

Costs

What does AI consultancy cost?

The first conversation is free, and so is the initial review of where AI could fit. From there, every engagement starts with a fixed-scope AI Opportunity Audit — you know the price before we start, and it ends with a costed, prioritised list of use cases rather than an open-ended retainer.

Build work is then scoped per use case. First projects are typically live in under four weeks, and payback across our deployed builds averages three to four months. If the audit finds nothing worth building, we'll tell you that too. A shorter engagement, but a cheaper one.

FAQS

Questions we get asked about AI consultancy

What does an AI consultancy do?

An AI consultancy assesses where artificial intelligence can improve a business, then plans how to get there: auditing processes and data, shortlisting use cases by return on investment, selecting models and platforms, and designing governance and rollout. Ours goes one step further — the same team builds and runs what it recommends.

How is an AI consultancy different from an AI agency?

A consultancy advises; an agency builds. We're deliberately both. Strategy written by people who never have to ship it tends towards the ambitious and the vague — ours stays specific because we're the ones who'll be held to it.

What does AI consultancy cost in the UK?

Day rates in the UK market vary enormously, which is why we don't sell days. Engagements start with a fixed-scope AI Opportunity Audit with the price agreed up front, and build work is quoted per use case from the audit's findings — so spend always follows an identified payback, not the other way round.

Do you only work with London businesses?

We're based in Shad Thames, London, and much of our work is with London and south-east businesses — but engagements run largely remotely, with on-site process mapping where it helps. We work across the UK.

Do we need our data sorted before we start?

No. Data readiness is part of what the audit assesses, and plenty of first use cases — document handling, drafting, triage — don't depend on a pristine data warehouse. Where a use case does need groundwork, the roadmap says so, with the cost attached.

Which AI platforms do you recommend?

We're independent — no reseller margins, no house model. We select per use case on accuracy, cost and data governance, and we'll show you the comparison rather than asking you to take it on trust.

What happens after the audit?

You get the roadmap either way, and everything in it is yours. From there most clients ask us to build the top use case as a pilot — typically live in under four weeks — and scale from what the pilot proves.

How long does an AI strategy take?

Weeks, not months. The audit is deliberately scoped so you're making a build-or-don't decision quickly — the fastest way to learn whether AI pays back in your business is a small system in production, not a longer document.

Proof it works.

A consultancy engagement that ended in production software, not a PDF.
