Introduction

Oliver Bonas approached us in 2013 looking for a more responsive and proactive agency who would design and redevelop their website on Magento. They were keen to find an agency that would work very closely with their own teams as the business started pushing their online growth.

Responsive Design

Oliver Bonas have very high mobile use and with their previous website not being responsive, this was an obvious place for improvement. With special focus on the mobile journey it's become the faster growing segment and a key reason for their online growth.

Machine Learning

The fast moving catalogue is great for customers but creates challenges for the content and product team. One of those things that's tough to keep up with is merchandising. By implementing Tom&Co's own machine learning system we were able to improve conversion and react immediately to product and stock changes all without lifting a finger.

Omni-channel

With over 65 stores across the UK using the website to support and improve the in-store experience is a key role for the website. By implementing special functionality sales staff can sell from the website in-store, using their chip&pin machines, and have products delivered directly to the customers door.

Content Management

A key part of the project was ensuring that we built a website that was easy to manage by the team at Oliver Bonas. As part of our standard set up we always couple Magento and Wordpress together for this reason.

Wordpress is a powerful content management system and allows us to build very flexible content pages that can be updated and changed without the need to sit in a dark room writing hundreds of lines of code. Phew!

Seamless Integration

With an extremely fast moving catalogue and high sale numbers it's critical that the website automates as much of the repetitive day to day tasks as possible. With integration into Peoplevox for fulfilment and Futura for sales and product data the OB team can focus on other things
