Tom&Co has had the most fantastic year in a multitude of ways. We have taken on some clients we would have once dreamt of working with such as Time products, Bradshaw Taylor and Micro scooters. We have gone international, now working with mega-brand Myfuji film and Canadian luxury retailer William Ashley. Not to mention we relaunched the websites for some of our amazing long-standing clients such as Topps Tiles, Biscuiteers and Oliver Bonas.

It has been a whirlwind! Of course with great power comes great responsibility, so with that in mind, we expanded our team to ensure and welcomed onboard new superstars to help our team succeed. In fact, we grew our team in every single department and went from 48 to 75!

It has been exciting for so many reasons and winning a cabinet full of awards really has been the cherry on the cake. Let’s give you a taste!

We started the year strong as the RXUK Internet retailing announced the top 500 UK e-commerce retailers. Three of our websites made it into the top 500, with Oliver Bonas and Agent Provocateur reaching the top 350 and Topps Tiles coming in hot in the top 50!

We then were crowned a finalist with Agent Provocateur in the Yotpo Partner Awards for Best Magento Agency!

It was then time for the UK Digital Growth Award. We had recently relaunched Topps Tiles and its omnichannel capabilities were unmatched. We were super proud of this one, so we boldly put it forward for the B2C eCommerce Website of the Year. The risk paid off as Topps Tiles were crowned the worthy winner!

Being a Bronze Adobe Partner, the next one was HUGE for us. The Adobe Experience Maker Awards are a highly prestigious award body. Leona Lewis hosted the award ceremony, need we say more. Initially, we were over the moon to be named a finalist, with tough competition, up against biscuit royalty Orea and Industry West. We were even more over the moon to be crowned the winner! It is always flattering to be a winner in a category called ‘The Mastermind.’ We will take it!

Next up, we have the Direct Ecommerce awards. At this point, we were busy shining our new awards cabinet as our clients The leprosy Mission won Best Charity Trading Brand and Wentworth puzzles bagged two awards for Best B2C Technology Partners AND Best Gifts, Hobbies & In-home Brand.

It could have been suggested that we were getting a little big for our boots. But like with everything we do at Tom&Co we aim for the stars, we go big or go home. That is why we nominated Topps Tiles in the GLOBAL eCommerce Awards. With the awards coinciding with the Euro 2020, although the Football sadly did not come home, Topps Tiles certainly did! Topps took home GLOBAL DIY, Home, Furniture & Interior Design Ecommerce Website of the Year. It is safe to say we got the Champagne out!

We could not have been happier that we were named a finalist in not 1, not 2…. Actually, this could take a while… But 9 categories. It just kept getting better. Our next goal was to win an award in The Drum DADI. As an extremely well respected awards body, we put our best foot forward, entering three categories; Best Retail with Oliver Bonas, Best UX with Topps Tiles and Best B2B website with Topps Tiles Trade. We were made a finalist in all three categories and crowned the winner for Best UX. We were even highly commended for best B2B website too.

Our final challenge for 2021 was to win in the UK ecommerce awards. This awards night was that much more special as it was the first non virtual event we were attending in 2021. We got suited and booted and headed to the Montcalm hotel. We had a phenomenal night and a clean sweep winning Food & Drink Ecommerce website of the year with Biscuiteers,Fashion & Apparel Ecommerce website of the year with Oliver Bonas and B2B Ecommerce website of the year Topps Tiles Trade.

And that is a wrap! (we promise!) We couldn’t be prouder of our team and our clients for all the hard work that has gone into making these wins possible. We have had a ball throughout this year of awards ceremonies. Fingers crossed we will be shining our (non-virtual) dancing shoes for 2022!
